Work With The Best!
Canyon View Nursing LLC
is advancing health care by raising the Standard and returning nursing
service back to what it should be. With more than 10 years floor
experience, the owner of
Canyon View Nursing LLC,
Patricia Munn, knows what it means to be a top Quality Nurse and the hard
work that is required. She understand not only the dedication it takes,
but the extreme mental and physical effort it takes to be a top Quality
nurse.
Patricia Munn also knows and understand why there
is a nursing shortage and what the causes are. (For more on this, see our Opinion
Page). She stays in contact with literally hundreds of nurses from coast
to coast and border to border. In addition, she takes the time to talk
with patients, physicians and administrators. With her comprehensive
knowledge, she knows that the entire purpose of a nurse is to care for
patients. While this may be the primary duty of nursing, she understand
that nurses also:
-
Do Physical Assessments
-
Verify Medications are correct and administer Medications
-
Deal with Administrators
-
Work with Physicians
-
Deal with family members
-
Educate patient and family members on medical and health problems
-
Diagnosis problems and conditions
-
Deal with dying patients and their family members
In return for all the work and dedication
of these professionals, what do they get in return? A $20,000 -
$30,000 education debt combined with the lowest pay of all
professions. In an opinion letter to Patricia Munn, CPA and Attorney
Howard Bernstien states:
"Normally,
most professionals, such as doctors, dentists, attorneys,
veterinarians, and others who follow an independent trade, business,
or profession are not employees. Nursing is also
considered a professional occupation, and registered
nurses exercise sufficient direction and control in the performance of
providing nursing services to be classified as independent
contractors, even though the registered nurse may be subject to the
supervision of an attending physician. Rev. Rul. 61-196. Thus,
generally and like other professional occupations,
registered nurses may be considered self-employed, independent
contractors when performing nursing services. In addition, a nursing
entity can also be considered an independent contractor because it
assumes the risk and profit associated with the nursing services. Rev.
Rul. 75-101." Emphasis Added
There can be no doubt that Nursing is a true
profession and that Nurses are to be considered "professionals".
What's more, it is a profession where nurses risk their own lives
by coming in contact with new and existing diseases. Nurses put
their license on the line daily -
not only for their own actions, but also for those working underneath
them. Not to mention constantly working nights, weekends, holidays
and crazy schedule that are totally unnecessary like two on and one off,
one on one off, etc. Holding to this truth,
Canyon View Nursing LLC asks why aren’t nurse
receiving the pay and rewards other professions receive? (See the
comparison of Nurses to Accountants on our Opinion
Page.
Now they are, because
Canyon View Nursing LLC is also advancing
health care by paying Nurses what they are professionally worth.
Unlike other businesses who keep 45% - 55% of what they charge
the Facilities,
Canyon View Nursing LLC only keeps approximately 10%.
Canyon View Nursing LLC
passes the bulk of
the money paid on to the person who is actually doing the work -
the Nurse. They are the ones who see the patients and know
what is going on with them. Nurses are professionals; and
Canyon View Nursing LLC believes their pay
should reflect their professional status.
The advantage of working for
Canyon View Nursing LLC is that it is
owned and operated by an RN BSN who knows what it is like to be
a top Quality Professional in nursing. As such
Canyon View Nursing LLC understands how
hard nursing can be and the effort it takes to provide top
Quality professional service. Canyon View Nursing
LLC also actively
works to promote the nursing profession.
